Melbourne Girls Grammar’s culture is embedded in our DNA - it shapes who we are, what we do, what we accept as normal, appreciate and give importance to. It is defined and nurtured by our four core values – compassion, integrity, self-discipline and courage – and is lived out in many ways across the School community every day.
Our culture is deeply entrenched in our long history but still allows us to be innovative, progressive, contemporary and independent. It is the inner strength that guides us in our mission of creating empowered and ethical women of action.
This edition of IE is different to our regular format for this publication, where members of our community would put their thoughts forward through original pieces. Knowing of all the additional constraints and workload put on our staff with lockdowns this year, we made the conscious decision to remove some pressure from them and to mainly use interviews to get their point of view across.
The editorial team for this special edition of IE comprised: Robyn McCutchan, Executive Director, Marketing and Community Engagement, Andreanne Boileau, Marketing Manager, and Sean Hardeman, Content and Social Media Co-ordinator, who has undertaken the extraordinary task of interviewing our MGGS staff to get their take on the School’s unique culture.
We hope you enjoy hearing the many voices that make up the MGGS community.
