Melbourne Girls Grammar takes pride in offering students opportunities to excel both inside and outside the classroom, allowing them to explore and develop their interests and passions throughout their school years. The outstanding results we share with you reflect the strength and depth in the Class of 2024. They are a cohort of high achievers across a number of academic disciplines, alongside their high engagement and excellence in the co-curricular opportunities offered by the School – sports, music, drama and the visual arts.    

Fifty per cent (50%) of the cohort earned scores in the top 10% of the state, with ATARs of 90 or above. The diversity of our offerings and the strengths of our students are evident in 41% of students achieving a study score of 45 or higher across 24 different studies. These include perfect scores in Art Making and Exhibiting, Biology, English, Literature and Mathematical Methods.  

We also celebrate our boarders who have shown significant independence, self-discipline and dedication to their studies and performed strongly with a median ATAR of 90.3, while also leading the boarding community with maturity, integrity and compassion.  

Completing VCE is a great achievement for all students and with their results, the Class of 2024 demonstrates the unique benefits of a well-rounded Melbourne Girls Grammar education.

A Melbourne Girls Grammar education serves as a bold beginning for life.

As the Class of 2024 steps confidently into the world beyond our red brick walls, we know their tertiary offers will continue to support them to flourish as ethical women of action. We are delighted to share the Class of 2024’s tertiary destinations with our community.  

In total, 155 offers were received, with 100% of students who applied to study in Victoria receiving an offer. The Class of 2024 excelled in a diverse range of disciplines. Study scores of 45 or higher were achieved in 24 different studies and scores of 40 or higher were achieved in 36 studies. All fields were represented in their tertiary offers, with the most offers in the area of Society and Culture (39%), followed by the Natural and Physical Sciences (19%), and Management and Commerce (17%). Broad categories such as these define pursuits in areas such as sociology, Law, environmental science, humanities and literature.  

The Class of 2024 received offers from various Victorian and interstate universities. In Victoria, the University of Melbourne and Monash University were the top two destinations, with 31.2% and 25.7% of the cohort receiving offers to attend these universities respectively. Eleven and a half per cent (11.5%) of our students received an offer from RMIT University.

Our graduates also received offers from universities across the country, including Australian National University (ANU), the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales (UNSW), the University of Newcastle, the University of Queensland and many more.  

Importantly, our graduates are receiving offers from the world’s top 100 universities, putting them on the global stage in terms of their study disciplines.
